Purpose: Daily reflection for a life worth living

A gentle, private, 3–5 minute practice for cultivating:

  • Virtue — who you are becoming
  • Relationship — how you connect
  • Contribution — how you serve

Includes:

  • Ten Pillars scoring rubric (0–2)
  • Daily flourishing action
  • One alignment moment
  • One intention for tomorrow

Use this as a daily or near-daily practice.


Evening Examen (Mental Health-Informed)

Purpose: Daily 5-minute discernment practice

A mental health-informed adaptation of the Ignatian Examen integrating:

  • Reality-testing and grounding checks
  • Trauma-informed safeguards
  • Behavioral focus (actions, not identity)
  • Built-in stop conditions and red flags

Examen Template

Purpose: Structured logging template for daily Examen

Obsidian-ready template with:

  • Metadata fields
  • Rule of Fruit quick scoring
  • Tripwire detection fields
  • SSNS planning section

Logging is optional—use only if it helps.


Attunement Test (15 minutes)

Purpose: Pre-decision alignment check

A 15-minute structured assessment before making significant decisions:

  • Intention locking
  • Reality anchoring (know vs. guess)
  • Three-gate output (clarity, charity, constraint)
  • Drift detection

Scored 0–20. Use weekly or before major choices.


SSNS Playbook

Purpose: Reference guide for Smallest Safe Next Steps

Quick reference for selecting and executing SSNS:

How to Use These Practices

For Daily Minimum Practice

You may choose either of the following as your core daily ritual:

  1. Eudaimonia Ledger (3–5 minutes)
  2. Evening Examen (5 minutes)

Both are valid. Choose the one that supports your current season of life.

For Decision-Making

When facing a significant choice:

  1. Run the Attunement Test (15 minutes)
  2. Score yourself (0–20)
  3. If score is low (<11), downshift or wait
  4. Use the SSNS from the test as your next action

For Building Consistency

Week 1–2: Choose Ledger or Examen (no logging)
Week 3–4: Add optional logging if helpful
Week 5+: Use Attunement Test before medium/large decisions
